Looking Ahead: Potlucks Planned
I’m sure so many of you realize the amount of planning that goes into a women’s Tres Dias weekend! From big decisions to little details, there are a lot of considerations that need to be made by the leadership and members of the team. Fortunately, we are a pretty large team and God has gifted us in so many ways that when we come together, we can get a lot of things done, and done well!
You’ve probably seen the scheduled meetings on the home page and received an email from me with important dates between now and the end of October. I wanted to post some additional dates that you will want to consider and plan for.
Potluck Gatherings
It is important that we are able to connect as a team and come into the weekend with a sense of unity and connection. Some of this will be done at the large team meetings, but it is important to me that we also have smaller, more intimate gatherings to get to know one another better. My hope is that we can accomplish this through small team potlucks. These potlucks will give us a chance to chat, share a meal, talk about some of the more intricate details of the weekend, and give you a chance to ask the Rectora, Chief and Coordinators any questions you may have. Below is a bulleted list of the scheduled potlucks; find your team on the list to see when your event is scheduled.
- Saturday, June 25th: Prayer Team (Main Prayer, Escort, Background Ministry) – Breakfast @ 9 am
- Friday, August 5th: Kitcherations Team – Dinner @ 6 pm
- Saturday, Aug 6th: Music Team – Lunch @ 11:30 am
- Saturday, Aug 27th: Cha/Rollista Team – Lunch @ 11 am
- Saturday, Aug 27th: Palanca Team – Dinner @ 5:30 pm
- Saturday, Sep 10th: Service Teams (Rollo Room Chas, Chapel Chas, Floater/Trailer Chas) – Brunch @ 10:30 am
- Saturday, Sep 10th: Dorm Chas Team – Dinner @ 5 pm
Locations and details of each potluck meal will be shared soon. We will work with a Google document to allow members of the team to sign up for what they would like to bring to the meal. We are looking forward to this special time with all of you!
